Officer’s Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm. Present: Dana Doherty, John Keane, Edie Whiteside, Melanie Suggs, Dennis Muzik
Minutes
The minutes from the April meeting were approved.
Treasure’s Report
The report was presented to the board.
The printed sheet attached is the true expenses and balance.
The report was approved.
Discussion
· Contingency Fund
$3,000 -$3,500 needs to be put on the expense sheet
10% of annual intake of homeowner’s dues for contingency fund
Old Business
· Signs for dock
There are 2 signs
On the dock, one for swimmers, one on dock side stating rules and regulations.
· There is a sign mounted on tree on the path down to the dock.
· Final Sign will go at the pavilion.
It is being made to match entrance. $475.00
· The light at the front entrance is not working.
John will check it out after dark.
· Water bill is OK and has not been out of line with past bills.
New Business
· We need to prepare for annual meeting.
September, nominations to go out for new board.
· We will have an End of Summer gathering to talk about the nominations and the consequences if no one steps up.
Option: HOA Board Management Company
POA vs. HOA, property owners act, we will need a majority vote to approve change.
· ?Amendment to use email as binding communication.
· ARC decisions are as valid as covenants
· Better definition of community standards
o Garbage cans
o How many vehicles can be parked
· Kelly Miller appeal for assessment of late HOA dues
o Vote to deny appeal was unanimous.
· Dock
o Hung up on left corner has continued and just needs team jump to fix. This is an easy fix and can be taken care of without notifying HOA board
o Permit will need renewing October, 2012
· Lawn Maintenance
o We are paid through 4-01-12
Next meeting will be August 10, 2011 at 4:00pm
