Officer’s Meeting

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

The meeting started at 7:15 pm. Present:  Kevin Jarvis, Dana Doherty, Sharon Andersen, Frank Suggs, and Melanie Suggs.

Minutes

The minutes from the December 8, 2009 meeting were approved as read.

Treasurer’s Report

Sharon reported as of 12/31/09;

$5,719.46        Checking

Bills are paid

$188.00 Street lights

$ 25.00 Water

There is a $601.00 invoice from Sawnee that Sharon is disputing.  Sawnee already holds $600.00 for the lighting at the front.

Dues are $350.00 per year and Sharon is sending the bills out.

Lawn care $3,0 00.00 per year.

We have no other assets.

President- Dana Doherty

Vice President- Kevin Jarvis

Secretary-Melanie Suggs

Treasurer-Sharon Andersen

At Large-Frank Suggs

The officers were approved as elected.

Old Business

·        Jim Bergen took care of Sawnee

·        Dana will talk to Jim Bergen about the leak in the Chimney.

·        Bathrooms will have to wait until spring to check on the heat and water heater.  We have an electrician but not a carpenter.  Frank and Melanie suggested Jim Hale as an option for a handyman/carpenter.  Dwight Howard is also a neighborhood opportunity.

·        Neighborhood workdays can also help with the needs of Lakes Edge.

·        Dana will take over web site, Sharon pays $95 per year and then reimbursed.

·        Dennis wrote a letter to the owner of the property adjacent to Mary Jane Thompson and the silt fence has been taken care of.

The members of the board then discussed information that would be helpful as they begin this year:

·        Access to dock and the question of better access for the community needs to be investigated.

·        US Army Corps of Engineers map will be sent to all for property line             definition.  The path to the dock is difficult and a plan to include the community needs should be explored.   We would need a reserve fund to pay for changes.

• Frank will take care of street lights that are out.

New Business

• Welcome packet for new neighbors, to include; trash providers, cable etc.
• Palmer Haffner would like Bee hives, Melanie has information from him.
• Pavilion leak
• Directory

The next meeting will be Feb.10, 2010 at Kevin Jarvis’ home, 7:00pm
